People say that continuous sin is not frowned upon or since we are saved, there’s an allowance. Ladies, that is FARTHEST from the truth. Your marriage covenant to God is important. It is the best relationship than any other. Point blank. This is why it is bad to practice sin after you’ve been saved.
#1. Your identity will get lost
“Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death. Those who live according to the flesh have their minds set on what the flesh desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires. The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace. The mind governed by the flesh is hostile to God; it does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so. Those who are in the realm of the flesh cannot please God.”
Romans 8:1-2, 5-8 NIV
When you are in Christ Jesus there is an identity. When you making worldly decisions you are not. Have your minds set on Christ. Otherwise, your minds when undergoing sin won’t submit to Gods law and you cannot please God.
#2. Intense separation and expectation of judgement
“If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left, but only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire that will consume the enemies of God. Anyone who rejected the law of Moses died without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. How much more severely do you think someone deserves to be punished who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, who has treated as an unholy thing the blood of the covenant that sanctified them, and who has insulted the Spirit of grace? For we know him who said, “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,” and again, “The Lord will judge his people.” It is a dreadful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.”
Hebrews 10:26-31 NIV
Choosing to go against God deliberately after receiving the truth corrupts your relationship with Him and your character. It’s been said plainly that no sacrifice for sins is left and you will be expected a judgement for God. Remember that God is greater than any sin! Be prepared to make sacrifices for him.
God bless you ladies! And remember Jesus loves you! 🌸📖
